Closest I've been was years ago when I was PIC in a Cessna 172 lined up behind a USAF T-37 on a taxiway. :-) I have to admit, I agree about the "model" appearance. Maybe it's the smoothing and lack of small structural details (rivets, etc.) due to the distance? Good image.

I have flown one flight in it and it can turn on a dime and stay in very close to the target. It was used primarily by the Viet Namese Air Force during the Viet Nam War for close air support. Very nice picture of one.

Nicely captured Scott. It's the first example I've seen of this plane.

My first impression, like others, was that it's a model. The lighting makes it look that way. Very nice.

Well, it's a good catch, either way. :o)

Being a model/miniature painter myself - I have to agree with Gary - it looks very much like a model.

Definitely not a model! This was doing over 800kph over the front straight.
