Great pics, all! How did you get so close to the animals? Super telephoto lens or raw courage, or both? Are you certain of this attribution, i.e., Ashanti, as in Asante? They were not a masking culture. The Baule, a related member of the larger Akan group did perform masked rituals, but the one on the right--a helmet mask?--doesn't ring a bell.
