For several years we have been trying to get a Clematis to grow behind our mailbox without success. This year we returned from Florida to find the Clematis we planted last year still alive, only to be killed in the Easter Frost. We dug it up and planted a new one, which is still alive but not doing well. When we did this Mary Ann noticed there was still some green in the roots and replanted last year's seemingly dead Clematis in another place on the other side of the driveway. We saw some green come up a month or so later and thought it might be a weed but left it alone. Now look what happened.
