Abu Simbel

This is how it was done. FZ on a travellers tripod using the rotatable monitor panel as the view finder was inaccessable. Between the knees sitting on top of the blockhouse with a small LED torch to find the buttons. For company a young millitia guard with a MAT38 full of 9mm. The Crew were not happy but came to the conclusion I was mad but not a threat. Couldnt use the time delay to fire the shot as it was impossible to predict what lay ahead. Had to breathe hold and fire by hand. The millitiaman was proud of me.
All the shots were slewed by three degrees due to haste and inattention to the once in a lifetime opportunity. Switching fom Ramesses to Nefertari was agony as there was no rhyme or reason in the illumination of either and I had no headset so far away from the seating.
The shots from below were taken prone in anticipation of physical removal in a drainage channel across the forecourt. Trudging back uphill in total darkness alone was a lesson in itself.

Excellent work given the circumstances. All the photos are well focused and no evidence of movement in the camera. I have processed one or two of your images with the Noisware community edition software and i think you would be pleased with the improvement. I need an email address to send to you. regards Barry
