Wanda "New Life After the Fire" 08_07_07.jpg

Many of you may have seen the news about the forest fires here in Utah over the last few weeks. Today Wanda and I took a ride to the other side of the mountain behind our home and checked out just how much damage had been done by the Salt Creek fire.

Oh my gosh it was amazing. Less than two weeks after the fire new shoots are coming up amid the burnt forest.

We had to get some shots of "Mother Nature" breathing new life into the burned forest.

Mother Nature is often times presented as an old woman, but I must admit, I prefer your way Bill!

As if touched by the hands of mother nature herself. Nice theme. I hope there were more shots in this set.
It's amazing how the earth can repair itself when we don't go messing with it.

Goodness me, I'm off to look in my garden!
I could do with some help, does 'Mother Nature' do home visits?
Seriously, great picture and comment on what must have been a life changing disaster for a lot of people, over here in the UK we've had the opposite, severe flooding.

incredible the contrast of the skin white woman with the log of the trees burns... like the contrast between the young green of the new plants on the splendid ash... the insertion to you of the body of one woman in this scene
