This picture was taken in the Marsh's of Lake Erie Metro park. The flowers can grow to as large as 6 inchs wide. Sturgeon are starting to come back in this part of Lake Erie. Young Sturgeon as well as young walleye hide in these lotus fields from prey such as the Great Blue Heron. Wood Ducks and Mallards also seek shelter and breed in these lotus fields.
