Sad Tammy (Tamron 28-75mm f2.8)

I am bummed. This is my favorite walk around/portrait lens, it is (was) tack sharp. He gave is life to save his brother...my 20D. I was doing a birthday party yesterday and a gust of wind came up and blew the softbox over and took the camera and tripod with it. On the up-side, I am not replacing the camera too. :-) I have never broken any of my equipment before.

Canon EOS 20D
1/60s f/5.6 at 43.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Hi Debbie,

Sorry to hear of your mishap. Hope there's some insurance coverage.
If not, I guess it's fortunate it wasn't one of your more expensive lenses or a body.

Oh well, sometimes replacing these things is a lot of fun, too!
Best of luck,
Tom

Ouch!!! Been there, done that.
I tipped my Canon 28-70L & tripod over the first day I got it. There were ribbons & parts hanging out everywhere. I don't know about Tamron but I shipped off to Canon & the next week I had it back in primo condition & only $185 lighter in the wallet.

That's so sad, Debbie. Fortunately the 20D is ok.
