This Western Kingbird has started the chokecherry on its transition from fruit to nourishment and finally fertilizer.

Charlie is quite correct. With the long zooms there usually is a loss of color, contrast ad real sharpness. Here you are at !!1600!! and look at the image! Just beautiful!

I have watched the whole process with the western kingbird. Unlike the other birds, this bird only takes one cherry at a time and after disgorging the flesh from the seed, the kingbird regurgitates and spits out the seed. No poop planting by this bird.

Don't forget back to seedling too, as the seeds are inside the fruit which gets poop/planted somewhere else. This is a very nice shot of the Western Kingbird too!
