The US Coast Guard Cutter "Taney" was one of seven "Secretary Class" cutters. It was commissioned in 1936 and decommissioned in 1986 after a stellar career in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. It is the last ship still floating that saw action at Peral Harbour on December 7, 1941.
