Interesting shot Mary Anne. The photographer must have loved motorcycles and the grain really adds to the grungy look to the shed. It's too bad all this interesting old buildings are fast becoming extinct. :-( CJ
Thanks for asking, Britt. For the last couple of years, I've been taking photos of old barns and other outbuildings around town, hoping to capture them before they're all gone. Last week something told me to stop by an old chicken coop/barn/shed, and when I got there it was already more than half torn down. These photos were attached to one of the few remaining walls. I returned two days later and they were gone. The new owners are slowly tearing down the building themselves, forced to do so by the Zoning Board after complaints from a nearby developer. Thus the character of a community is changed, and our history is gradually lost.
