Ripples in the sand, Farewell Spit, Golden Bay, New Zealand

Plenty of wind at this place along with plenty of sand. Farewell Spit is a tongue of sand some 25 kilometres long (I think) and several of the same wide extending eastwards at the northern extremity of the South Island's West Coast and created by sand blown up that coaast by the prevailing winds. If you want a quick weather beaten look go here. I aged 10 years in one day.

Love this one John. The low angled light really makes the ripples jump out. The Xpan format really works here. Regards John (vote)
