Icy Creek

With temperatures in Seattle pushing 90 today and heading for
the high 90's to even perhaps one hundred degrees tomorrow, it is now
refreshing to reflect on this 30 second exposure that I captured
by jumping barefoot into this creek, planting my tripod... holding
it down with one hand while holding my breath and trying not to
move as the icy chill of the creek slowly crept up my calves until
I was so cold that I thought my teeth would break.

Seriously, I had the camera set on aperture priority, and I had no
idea when I released the timer, that I would be standing still in
the icy water for quite this amount of time...

I bet I'll be wishing for it again tomorrow ;)

Awesome capture, Terri! So refreshing lush colors and exquisite flowing water. I'd say it was well worth the cold feet. V.

Stunning!!!!!!!!!! one of your best yet, absolutely perfect. I tried some 30sec stuff but if it was already light then it just over exposed, even at f22. Amazing job with this shot.v
