Clark's Grebe (Aechmophorus clarkii)

We went outside RMNP (southwest) to visit Grand Lake. Much to our surprise, a Clark's Grebe (white extends above the eye) appeared as we were exitting our vehicles. This is rarely seen here. Other birds that we saw here (and nowhere else on the trip) were a Belted Kingfisher, a White Pelican and lots of Ospreys (and nests).
