A Macro-Mode shot, f5.0 worked to keep the full plume in focus as it swayed in a gentle breeze, yet allow the unfocused background desired. There was adequate shutter speed to prevent any motion blur. I think the result has a nice 3-D effect with little need for further editing, although slight tweaks in "levels" and USM accentuate the effect.
