My pal Dana was coming into town this morning, heading over to Cathy's place to spend the night. The plan was for me to meet them and KT up on the Parkway around 10:30 for a trip up Greasy Cove Prong in the Shining Rock Wilderness area of the Pisgah Forest. The Rosebay Rhododendron are in full bloom and it should be pretty.

I decided to get up early and try to catch a sunrise.
