Statue of Lapu-lapu looms in the distance like a protective symbol for his country.
The 7-story (?) statue is of the local chieftain who allegedly killed Ferdinand Magellan
as he first went ashore on the island of Mactan, Cebu in the Southern Philippines.
A relief map of the Philippines - taking up a whole block - can be seen (oceanless, it seems!) in the foreground.
