Desert Thunderstorm

I must tell you that the ground was crawling with Tarantulas during this pursuit...

As Sunset colors were on Fire, this massive Storm moved north and it started to pour like cats and dogs!!
Then as the ground got soaked and the water encroached the holes in the landscape, the Tarantula's we're coming out of their dens and the ground was moving with them!!!

I've NEVER seen sooo many at one time... Literaly hundreds were on the ground...Yikes!!

Got the shot though!! LOL

Incredibly beautiful! The tarantulas that you saw were males on their final quest to find the females hidden underground. The males will die before winter and the females can live for quite a few years. Voted.
