This life-size bronze Charioteer of Delphi originally stood on a quadriga drawn by four horses.
He holds the remainters of the reins in one hand and is missing the left arm.
The bronze group was made in aabout 475 BC and stood in the Sanctuary of Apollo.
It was dedicaated by Polyzalos, a tyrant of Sicily to commemoriate his victory in the chlariot race in the Delphic Games of 470 BC.
