Hilton Auckland
These unusual looking buildings belong to Hilton Auckland Auckland’s contemporary boutique hotel 300 meters out to sea on Princes Wharf. It is a welcoming haven with an easy walk to Auckland's bustling CBD . Even closer is the Viaduct Village, home to the Louis Vuitton/America's Cup sailing in summer 2002-2003 and life on the waterfront.
The hotel's unique design and location make the most of the waterfront position with most of the accommodation rooms having views over the Auckland Harbour.
Located at the heart of Auckland’s revitalised waterfront precinct, Prince’s Wharf extends into the Waitemata Harbour where it provides a maritime gateway for the more than 40 cruise ships that visit Auckland, the City of Sails each year.
Since its construction in 1921, Prince’s Wharf has been used for cargo handling, as a landing point for immigrants arriving in New Zealand, and as a departure zone for troops during World War II, before falling into disrepair in the 1970s.
Today, after an extensive redevelopment, it has been transformed into a vibrant hub with restaurants, cafés, offices, apartments and a five-star hotel, all offering new opportunities for living, working and relaxing beside the Waitemata Harbour.
