Thanks a bunch everyone for your kind comments on this image of my son. The hand embracing him is mine - I hold the camera in the other. He was tiny, but healthy in every way. He is now 4 months and if you're interested in seeing how he looks now, here's a link to a pic I took of him yesterdayhttp://www.pbase.com/fredericus/image/80975924.

Cheers!

I like how you can see the ring of the window into the scene as it emphasizes that the little one is only touched by special hands. Very touching. Britt

Wow he is small & a great little fighter to come through it all, it's a wonder the dummy (soother) didn't choke him look how big it looks. Great shot Fred:-)

An amazing capture. How precious life is. You can't help but feel for the parent and the young one.

OMyGawd. We might as well just concede now and get on with it. Amazing shot esp for the circumstances and a heart-tugging reminder when your own have started in an incubator. Mine were each about 5lbs - huge for twins. -tv

A beautiful picture of a touching scene. It's not easy to get this shot inside the incubator. NICU lighting is not very good for photographs, but you and the G7 managed to get this one perfectly exposed and in sharp focus. A photograph you will treasure forever I am sure. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations on getting to 4kg!

He weighed 900 grams then. Now, four months later, he weighs four kilos.
Cheers!

No, there's certainly nothing more delicate than this. Sooooo tiny! At 3lbs 9oz and 3lbs 2oz, my twins were giants by comparison. What is the weight of this wee lil' one? ~ Lonnit
