A Fright

When this snake started to come out of the water, most of the frogs - previously wall to wall on the shore - quickly fled in a panic. However at this time, the snake did not try to bother any of them. Instead, he merely turned around and swam off again.

The entire event was very quick. Because of thick foreground weeds, it was also somewhat difficult to get a clear shot. But Big Bertha and I still managed.

This was another spotting made by my mom. She's so great to have along on the Squaw Creek photo trips!

I didn't pay much attention to the frogs initially until I read what nestor wrote, went back to read you caption again and I then noticed the comparison! This is one amazing shot with the frog at the background the snake hissing pass......V++

How often do you see these reptiles keeping company .
The eyes are just great on all of them.
It is what gets my attention in the image.
Very nice capture. Vote

I am drawn by the frightened look of the frogs. They also seem to be trying to figure out what is the snake going to do. Great shot. Vote.

Incredible! The things you can do with that big lens are amazing! Like Enny said, it is sort of funny. Especially when you apply it to life in a bureaucracy. Congratulations!
