Fun with Rojo
by Jim Thode

Washington State, USA

This is a replaced image without the thought bubble that was on the first one I posted. Part of the reason for the text on the original post was to cover up some of the blown out sky on the top part of the image. I found it hard to get any kind of reasonable exposure on Rojo's belly without over exposing the sky. I did try a flash but then had a problem getting a uniform exposure on all parts of the horse. Maybe I could have him stand on a reflective tarp to get more natural light from the ground up. Comments are welcome.

Jim, this is great. Who would have thought of looking at a horse from this perspective? Julie

Whoa, quite an amazing perspective. I too am in the lose the thought-balloon camp. The image is strong and stands on its own. -Michael

Is there some strategic Gaussian blur on this one? Perhaps it's best ;-) And I guess I agree with Trav... The text in the thought-balloon might be better off in the cutline under the photo. It really is too good of a photo to cover any of it up. It kind of spoils the symmetry of the shot. Jim H.

Now this is a Different Point of View! However, Jim, I seriously feel that the fun little Cartoon Balloon and saying should be the title. The image is, to me, too good to have that in there.

But maybe that's just me....let's see what others say.
