Pusan, Korea - We take over a former POW camp.

Except for the perimeter fence, the barbed wire was removed. We lived in the buildings, with tin roofs, no windows and dirt floors, that the Chinese and North Korean POW's had recently occupied.

I was with the the 10th MP co at PW camp # 2 .After we transferred the POW'S out of the camp,in Sept 1953.Then I Joined the 58th MP co,who did security for the neutral nation inspection team who watched over the truce.My friend ,Leo was a life guard at K-9 beach,and I spent some time there. This has brought back memories .

In early 1953 I was a medic with the 5th cavalry, 3rd battalion, we stayed in a former
pow camp near Pusan while guarding prisoners. Due to acase of spinal meningitis i had the barracks washed down with lye. It was a lousy place to quarter troops
