I used pictures from my granddaughter Tara's graduation in Flagstaff, AZ. Background was made by using the gradient tool, I learned how to define a gradient and save it, plus using the Radial gradient(Used elements help alot), I also added noise and blur to it. Tara's photo on background was done by creating a brush from it. The assorted photos were selected using the lasso tool,background deleted and then moved to collage background. The Collage printed out well too.
