Cottonwood Canyon Road goes north and south, cutting 46 miles across Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. It has the quality of a well-maintained county road (by Colorado standards) for most of its length, though a section north of here is bone-jarringly cobbled. The signpost at either end suggests three hours for the trip.
This is a composite of four images.
