Wells is adorable. Like a town in the Wild West. I visited years ago.There was a house in the middle of town, run-down, but it was for sale for $4,000. A painter had bought a small church, and was using this as her studio. This church had cost her $5,000. It was heated by a big wood burner. Some of the houses on the steep hill approaching the little town were on stilts. Very picturesque. Wells gets only 30 frost-free days a year.
