Thank you everyone! I am delighted with your response. The treatment was done in Photoshop CS2 > filter > stylize > diffuse > anisotropic. I really appreciate everyone's comments very much.

The processing is interesting, taking out the details and leaving it up to the colors and the lighting to deliver the photo's feeling. The lighting is very nicely handled too...so it works nicely!

In NY they wrap these things in plastic. It's weird to see a field of shrink-wrapped hay bales.
This one has Kansas character.
