Livigno, is situated near the Swiss Italian border in a valley locally known as mini Tibet. The reason, it is always a few degrees colder in this valley than anywhere else and is as snow sure a place for skiing than just about anywhere else in Italy. This was taken from a middle ski station my camera resting between crossed ski poles to maintain sharpness. The light filtering down the valley highlighting the ochre walls was enchanting.
