There is a beautiful view of Hozameen Peak from Highway 20, where it comes abreast of Lake Ross. To a mountaineer, it does look scary. Those who have bagged it say the rock is mostly bad, dark Olivine. You can approach via trail from Hwy 20, 15 miles or so along the east shore of the lake. Better yet, drive through Canada to a shorter approach from the north end of the lake. I've always wanted to go the and take some photos. I don't think I want to climb it, though, mostly because of the rock. - CW
