Yes, my father was one of the WWII vets, he resorted to alcohol, wife beating and terrorizing us as children. In later years he admitted that, which certainly didn't make our lives any better, but at least he came to terms with it.

Flashbacks, sleepless nights, anxiety, depression, stomach problems, hyperstartle, intrusive thoughts. This is 41 years after participating in the war. It NEVER ends. 58,000 GIs` died in Vietnam. As of today, more Vietnam vets have died from suicide than in the war.

There is so much bullshit in the american mind when one goes overseas as I just have been, one really sees how stupid, dumb and half asleep we are. You see the true horrors of soldiers & victims of PTSD!
