After the floodwaters following Katrina soaked much of the historic buildings on Dauphine Street Holy Cross began looking for a new site. The former home of Redeemer school on Paris Avenue in Gentilly was chosen.
Here, workers are clearing the remains of the former Redeemer school to prepare for the building of Holy Cross. The live oaks will hopefully be preserved in keeping with the school's ambiance on Dauphine.
