After half year later, I am still thinking about the boy on this photo. I still remember that the mother of the boy invited Riki to go to their farm after we all went out shooting some village on a raining late afternoon. With the nice blooming flowers on the trees in front of the house, the house was quite splendid by local standard and she seemed like quite happy with her way of life. I didn't really notice the boy that time. I only noticed him after Brian showing this photo days later, and it was a quite powerful feeling for me.
The color and atmosphere are really matching with the boy's body language. Was he feeling cold physically or emotionally? Why does he staring the camera like this with a soulful expression? Did he bore with the way of life in paradise and wanting out of the village where we wanted go in? I wish this little guy have a bright future.
Brian, this is great photo 'cause the great photo is not about art form with perfect skill but a media to touch someone's soul.
