The second week of infusions really hit hard. I slept basically for two days. During which time I did not drink enough fluids and my potassium levels dropped resulting in a seizer. The next day I had an MRI on my brain and confirmed it is actually empty of any matter at all. Mary said it just confirmed what she already knew. I spent the night in the hospital under observation and was treated to a great breakfast and an EEG. My energy level was running at near zero the rest of the week. The following Monday I had an IV push of Bleomycin which caused a reaction about 2 hours later. Uncontrolled shivering that was controlled with some hot mint tea. I went to sleep and woke up with a fever of 104. We swabbed my skin head with cold rags and took two Tylenol and that broke the fever. It has been a very difficult two weeks needless to say. I just got a massage today and it has helped me mentally. I have been somewhat down fighting the fatigue but the massage really helped me feel better about everything. This next Monday starts the last 3 week cycle. I’m going to just grit my teeth and push through it. I know I can do it with the help of my wife and friends. Especially my wife who is carrying a great burden as my care giver. I can’t thank her enough.
