Goa living 1976

How we lived in Goa in 1976 for 1 month (scanned image)
We made a temporary 'guestroom' from palmleaves when we got visitors.
Our spot was a horizontal plateau above the rocky part of middle Vagator Beach
in a lovely palmgrove now(2007) called disco valley.
It's rather run down and very littered, but to my surprise the plateau
and many palmtrees still exist(see previous image for 2007 situation) and the view is as lovely as ever,
as are the climate and the seabreeze, quote: 'like the embrace of mother nature....'

...the beaches were open to anyone, the bus could be locked, the huts could not, either people carried any valuables with them or dug a whole somewhere, further more you took your chances, used common sense and intuition.

We did not stay at the main hippie-beach but visited sometimes on foot along the waterline and over a hill.

That is so awesome that you were able to do this in those days. Was this part of the beach isolated where it was safe.
