This bird sat unflinching in the road even as my car drove directly over it. I suspect it was hit by a car, but it did not seem to have any broken bones. As we held it and took photos, it seemed to perk up a bit, and by the time we left it, it was able to perch and hop a bit. Perhaps it had only been temporarily stunned.
