M 62

M62 is one of the most irregularly shaped globular clusters. (In this image, the
center of mass clearly seems to be pulled toward the top of the picture). This may
be because M 62 is also one of the closest to the galactic center (6100 light years
from the center), and the tidal forces have distorted the cluster. M 62 is 22,500
light years from earth in the constellation Ophiuchus.
