My Mothers Day gift

from my two daughters.
We rang to see if cameras were allowed. They are, as long as they don't have removable lenses,
as then they are considered "professional", :-((

Canon EOS 30D ,Tamron SP AF DI 90mm f/2.8 Macro
1/1000s f/2.8 at 90.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Too bad about the "professional" rule. I didn't care when I saw Swan Lake last year, I just snapped away with a long telephoto lens :)http://www.pbase.com/mistermattias/image/66447028

...and Row BB! Creative shot!

I've considered this over a number of days but I can't think of a single camera that gets around this, being professional with a fixed lens. A clever call by the management - unfortunately. I hope you enjoyed the performamnce!
Great idea with the feather BTW.

For sure you enjoyed that night even though without your camera. :) I've just checked the site I saw on your ticket, Burstwood theater looks huge and with great architecture. :)

That's a great present...enjoy the show! Just tell them you have the beginner model and the lens doesn't come off ;-)
Guest 06-May-2007 04:32
You should claim that you don't know how to remove the lens ;-)

Lovely gift, lovely composition.
What a ridiculous rule on cameras - so I'm a professional!!??

Great gift.... great shot... and great visual storytelling.
Guest 06-May-2007 00:23
lucky you.
maybe you should 'seal' your 70-200/2.8 lens onto your 30d and tell them that you can't remove this lens. :)

That is wonderful, Sheila! In case you have an extra ticket, today is my birthday..... ;-) You need to at least take a point and shoot camera!

Apparently using a tripod makes you a professional too in certain areas. Take a big handbag !! What a lovely gift from the girls...enjoy !!
