Burawai was another small mountain staging 'town'. Like Basel, it would close down for the winter when it would be covered with snow. We were told another 3-4 weeks. Seemed very cosmopolitian compared to where we had been the last few days. A government guest house (with a chowkidar), a restaurant, a mosque, and a few other stone huts and some tents. We had thick goat qorma (stew) at the restaurant, with nan and chai. A verible feast. 'Gujar prime rib'.
