Panorama: Pioneer Peak & Twin Peaks (on right)

Palmer, Alaska

Pioneer Peak, the tallest peak in the Palmer Valley at approx. elevation 6500 feet, lies next to the "Three Sisters" another popular climbing spot in the Anchorage / Mat-Su region. The Knick River flows beneath them, coming from the Knick Glacier immediately to the left of this photo (off screen). This photo taken from the top of Bodenburg Butte, approximate elevation 800 feet.
