Clever. It looks like the seed has already been planted. If only you could use the light table we have at work to review old mylar plans. That would have worked wonders.

The detail in that sliver of strawberry just keeps me looking! How smart you were to keep the stem in tact too! Just a facinating shot Alistair! Oh and love those colors!

You have been playing with the light table again, naughty boy! Great result indeed, so we must to forgive you ;o) endika

The seeds really make it. Looks very invitingly edible. Nicely composed and well lit - like the unusual balance.

Good idea even better executed, very nice for looking. I like it a lot.

Wonderful Alistair. I've been wanting to do this for ages.

Thanks. The setup is pretty simple. Put the slices on a sheet of glass suspended over a table edge, then underneath on the floor I put a piece of white paper. Shot a flash down onto the paper and it reflects back up to backlight the fruity bits. Had to sacrifice some of my lunch though :( Alistair

You must have a sharp knife; my strawberries never look like that when I cut them. Love the composition and the contrasts in this. I wish someone had taken a picture of you taking this shot. Would like to see how you did it.
