Rahmose was governor of Thebes during the reign of Amenophis III and Amenophis IV (Akhenaton).
He was an early convert to the new religion of Akhenaton, worship of the sun disk.
His tomb is especially important as it shows some elements of the new religion which banished all the old Egyptian gods
during the short reign of Akhenaton, an artistic revolution known as the "Amarna period".
