Mount Hood

Taken on a very clear day in March 2007.

Mount Hood is the tallest mountain in the state of Oregon, the current measured height is 11,249 feet, 3,424 meters. It sits just south of the Columbia River in northern Oregon and is only 50 miles east of Portland. The mountain is the 4th highest peak in the Cascade Mountain Range. On clear days the mountain is an impressive site from Portland and as far south as Salem in the Willamete Valley. This photo was taken from Wilsonville.
