What's over there?

Southeast Poison Spider Mesa (near Moab, Utah)

Scenes like this get my juices flowing because the terrain looks so inviting, yet
holds mysteries that can be explained only by close inspection. I could not resist
the call of this landscape and I ended up atop the flat-topped fin at center.
