A Flemish use of light, it’s amazing how we can find an interconnection of so many , maybe only, apparently, different cultural elements. This is one of the photos I adore in your work. The untold story, nevertheless so deeply suggested, the central role of the individual and the contrast of lights and shadows. It’s always a pleasure to come back to your galleries. Marisa

What I like here other than the human interest is the basic structure..I particularly like the expanse of wall and shadows on it..it gives a rich depth to the shot. I really like the way you have taken time to compose this shot as the balance is absolute perfection. KMc

One of your most evocative "working by the lights of night" shots, Kal. Not only does she wear yellow, but the basis of her product is yellow as well. The curve of her shoulders repeats the curves of both basket and bike. Wonderful.

I like this - it conveys a strong impression of the nighttime stall, and I like the way the light separates her from whatever's around her. But I didn't understand the title ...
