This guy arrives early and stays awhile. It is amazing to watch him dig under the bark of trees. They usually start at the bottom of a tree and work their way up in a circular pattern. If there's another tree beside it they'll will creep up that tree as well. Usually solitary.They usually arrive with the Golden-crowned Kinglets.
