April 6: SP Friday - A Modest "Pepe"

New Salem, IL

Thurday we visited New Salem which was Lincoln’s early adult home for ten years. The village has been restored, and we found our visit to the homes and places of business to be very informative. Below is a shot of his tomb. That is the the old State Capitol Building on the right. Both are in Springfield.
