Leavenworrth Washington ( Logging Ghost Town Turned Bavarian)

Leavenworth Washington

Leavenworth use to have a Railroad Yard , huge powerhouse, sawmills, etc. ,but the Great Northern Railroad moved it's yard to Wenathcee in 1925 ( because Tumwater Canyon was too dangerous) and mills because to close from depleated log supplies. The town was near death till a few towns people developed the idea of turning the town into a " Baverian Theme Town".. Now the town is a tourist haven and has October fest, christmas lights and the whole smear as touyrist from Seattle and farther flock to the little town which does look like something from a " Heidi Movie"...

Great shot, this captures the area well. Thanks for the history too, that really made the image interesting. You did well in some seriously tough light, a little burn in some areas will make this an excellent print.
