Photo Tip # 33.5:
Know the minimum distance that your lens will focus. Many photographers, when shooting "cute" things like babies, flowers and puppies, tend to get far too close to the subject, especially when using large lens hoods.
This can cause embarrassing accidents, such as the one pictured above. PS: (No animals were harmed in the making of this photograph.)
