Battered and torn, but home!

When we brought her home Tuesday night you could tell she was so glad to be home! We have moved her bed downstairs so that we can limit her movement to bed, food, bathroom. Keeping her still will give her torn skin the best chance to heal.

She went straight to her bed and she is so happy to be back in her own bed she hasn't moved since. I have been sleeping downstairs on the couch with her since Tuesday. She has to wear the "lamp shade" collar when I am not watching her which has only been while I am asleep. She hates it but it keeps her from licking her wounds, which might cause infection.

She got in her bed sat down and let out a big, deep sigh, put her head down and I took this image. Right after that she went to sleep, she was still mostly asleep when I put her "lamp shade" collar on for the night.
