Claytonia Virginica
This is the first wildflower to show itself in the park - I searched a while today till I found some, just appearing through the carpeting of fallen oak leaves. They are beautiful tiny shiny white and pink flowers, about half an inch across, I was sitting on the ground with the lens right up against them, trying desperately to to hang on tight to Teddy's lead so he would not chase after the squirrels that he kept hearing rustling through the trees around us......
